Well, Sanders opened his first restaurant in 1930. But the first franchise in America didn’t open until 1954. The first franchise in the UK opened in the early 70′s. And Col. Sanders lived until 1980. So it’s quite feasible that someone’s grandmother could have owned the first franchise.
